In 1866, formerly enslaved individuals of Charleston, SC, organized a ritual of remembrance and consecration to honor fallen soldiers of the Union army. Graduation season is in full swing, & it’s the perfect time to ensure that the grads & soon to be grads in your life are registered or pre-registered to vote! In VA, you can pre-register to vote at 16 or 17. Spread the word & help them graduate into voting! The City of Hampton will be hosting free Workforce Ready Job Fair Preparation Seminars on May 14th from 3-5 PM and June 2nd from 2-4P M. The seminars will help prepare for the on June 11th at the Hampton Convention Center. Participants may receive interview appropriate clothing, job search tips, connections to employers and more.
