We are saddened by the horrific act of senseless violence against our brothers and sisters at Islamic Center of San Diego - ICSD. We condemn violence against all houses of worship regardless of religion. These should be places where our communities can come and pray without fear.
We pray for the families of our brothers who were lost in this attack, we ask Allah SWT to grant them the highest level of Paradise and we ask for Sabr (patience) for their families.

The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are among the most blessed days in the sight of Allah. 🌙

Strive in 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝟗 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬, for every fast carries immense reward and draws you closer to Allah. Especially the 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐡, a day when sins are forgiven and mercy descends abundantly.

Increase in istighfar, sincere du‘a, and heartfelt repentance. Spend the time between 𝐀𝐬𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐛 in dhikr, seeking forgiveness, and calling upon Allah with humility.

Let your tongue be moist with remembrance, your heart soft with repentance, and your actions filled with sincerity.

These days are a gift, do not let them pass without taking from their treasures. 🤍
