Last week, we attended the U.S. Navy Talent Pipeline Program Signing Day to celebrate several members of the Riggins team who joined us over the past year. Now that the results have been shared, it's clear the program continues to make a meaningful impact across Hampton Roads.

During the 2024–2026 cohort, participating employers in Hampton Roads hired 1,750 individuals and retained 1,266, achieving a 72 percent retention rate. In the current 2025–2027 cohort, employers have already hired 1,322 individuals and retained 1,122, resulting in an 85 percent in-process retention rate.

As the Talent Pipeline Program shared, "These numbers reflect more than statistics. They signify careers launched, businesses strengthened, and a workforce prepared to support our Navy, thanks to the commitment of new hires and their employers."

We were proud to attend and cheer on the members of our team who represented Riggins at Signing Day. While only a few employees were recognized at the event, we are proud of every individual who joined the Riggins team over the past year. Their hard work, commitment, and willingness to learn are helping strengthen both our company and our industry.

It was a pleasure to welcome representatives from Newport News Shipbuilding to Riggins this week: Matt Mulherin Jr., Les Smith, and Matt Shaffer.

Members of our leadership team toured the group through our facility and discussed the additional growth capacity we’re building to support future work. We value opportunities like these to strengthen partnerships and demonstrate our continued investment in delivering for our customers and the mission.
