From Sherry Hildebrandt, HCS transition specialist:

We are having an amazing opportunity for all families of students with disabilities to connect personally with community support and opportunities as well as see what high school life is like from a vocational lens perspective-Exploring Work Based learning and building self-determination. This event was just opened up to fill the last few seats available. This is a small event for personalization so seats are very limited and will be filled quickly.

The Career Exploration Academy is being held at Bethel High School this Saturday (yes, like tomorrow) 8:30 AM- 3:00 PM. Students must be accompanied by an adult for the sessions as they are catered around the student's and the guardian's perspective and need. VDOE (WBL and Transition) will be present as well as DARS, I'm Determined Project, Versability Travel Training crew, and lots of great teachers leading vocational sessions to help students explore who they want to be. this is a hand's on engaging event and hope you can come! Please register ASAP!
