Enjoy the journey with our newest therapist Ms. Briana Grier! My name is Briana Grier. I am currently a Provisional Art Therapist and Resident in Counseling working toward both licensures. In May 2022, I graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School with a Master of Science in Art Therapy and Counseling. I’ve been an artist my whole life and I’ve always used art as a method of healing to move throughout the world. I desired to become a therapist during my adolescent years when I discovered my own depression and anxious behaviors that stemmed from my childhood. As a young adult, I discovered a way to combine my love for art and my advocacy for mental health through Art Therapy. Utilizing all types of art materials like clay, paint, found objects, collage and so many more, healing and wellness can begin. Art Therapy is for EVERYONE, and I can’t wait to be a part of the experience of others and witness how they overcome the struggles they may face daily.

Fun Facts:
* I can play three instruments: Alto saxophone, Euphonium and Piano.
* In my free time outside of art I enjoy going to the beach, going to the movies solo, writing poetry and short stories, and reading a good mystery novel!
* In 2021, I was featured in the Trap Music Museum by T.I in Atlanta and sold my first portrait sculpture.
* I am the youngest of 5 kids, yes 5!
* I love traveling home to North Carolina to visit my family and old friends when I need time to get away.

Enjoy the journey with our newest therapist Ms. Stormi Addison! My name is Stormi Addison. I am currently a Resident in Counseling working towards my licensure. I graduated from Liberty University in December 2021 in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have dreamed of becoming a therapist since I was a teen. This dream formed from dealing with my own childhood trauma and experiencing interpersonal violence in an earlier relationship. Experiencing the power of healing and overcoming feelings of hopelessness have given me a deep passion and drive to pass that to others struggling today.
Fun facts:
• Yes, Stormi is my real name, and I was not born on a stormy night.
• I’m originally from Louisiana and have relocated from Louisiana about 4 times since due to being a military spouse.
• In my spare time, I love listening to podcasts and audiobooks, running, playing games, and traveling with my husband.
• When my batteries need recharging, I like to spend time in nature, with my family and friends, and with my fur babies.
