Secure Safety Every Day: Support Survivors Monthly 🏠
When a family flees domestic violence, emergency shelter is just the first step on a long journey toward healing and independence. To provide that path forward, YWCA Hamilton relies on steady, predictable funding.
By becoming a recurring monthly donor, you provide the reliable foundation needed to keep our life-saving programs running 24/7/365.
What Your Monthly Support Sustains:
-Continuous Safety: Funding operations for Dove House, the only emergency domestic violence shelter in Butler County.
-Stable Housing: Supporting individuals and families in our permanent supportive housing as they rebuild their lives.
-Always-On Crisis Care: Ensuring our 24-Hour Crisis Hotline is always answered when someone reaches out for help.
For as little as $20 a month, you can help bridge the gap for families at risk. Your consistent support ensures that safety, dignity, and a fresh start are always available to those who need them most.

Today, SB 341, a bill to raise the age of marriage in Ohio to the age of 18, passed unanimously out of the Senate Judiciary Committee!
We know that marriages that begin when one spouse is a child have an elevated risk for physical, sexual, emotional, and financial violence across the duration of their relationship. When the legislature returns in the fall, the bill will need to be voted on by the full Senate and then it will start its process in the House.

A Trailblazer’s Journey: Honoring Pauli Murray 🏳️🌈✊🏾
Did you know that legal scholar, Episcopal priest, and civil rights icon Pauli Murray stayed at the YWCA Harlem while attending Hunter College?
Long before her ideas transformed American law, she found a place of community and belonging within our movement. Pauli Murray was a pivotal figure for racial, gender, and social justice, and her foundational work helped shape the YWCA into what it is today.
As a q***r Black trailblazer who spent her life fighting for the intersections of civil and LGBTQ+ rights, we are incredibly proud to have played a small role in her historic journey. This Pride Month, we honor her enduring legacy, her brilliant mind, and her fight for absolute equality.
