Tomorrow is the day where we celebrate the ongoing effort to create EQUALITY for all people here in the City of Hamilton, Ohio - City Hall.
So come see all the different people come together as one people with pride and compassion for humanity.
I will be at the Hue Mane Salon booth this year with gifts, a smile and looking forward to having some good conversations with whomever wants to be a part of what we're doing here at YAS.

Dignity
The inherent, inalienable worth and value every person possesses simply by being human.
The definition of this word speaks for itself. The inhumane treatment of people simply for existing as themselves is something no human should have to face. Period.

There are countless studies that show how the simple action of including someone in nearly every sector of life improves both the person and the community at large.
Historically, unjustifiable prejudice against LGTBQIA and all other disenfranchised people in our nation have held back these communities from their full potential. It's time for EVERYONE to have a seat at the table.

Aretha Franklin's infamous song is a long used anthem in the gay community and for good reason. She was a prominent ally through her various forms of public support and was known for paying the medical costs for numerous people during the AIDS epidemic. Her example of respecting those around her despite what the surrounding culture said is something we could all learn from.

Hamilton Ohio Pride has message of belonging and visibility; annual event is June 6 at Marcum Park In addition to being an annual event celebrating the cityโs LGBTQ+ community, Hamilton Ohio Pride is an organization dedicated to the belief that people deserve to feel connected and supported.
