Fredrick Blue Log House in Liberty Township, Ohio This cabin sits on what was originally part of Symmes Purchase. (Liberty Township, Butler County, Ohio).

John Cleves Symmes then conveyed the entire 3rd range of the township to Jonathan Dayton. In 1805 the land passed to Thomas Powers, and then to J Davis in 1806. Fredrick Blue (1768-1855) purchased 160 acres from J Davis in April of 1807. This land was in the NW quarter of Section 7, Township 2, Range 3. The Blue cabin was rediscovered and restored in 1985 by Robert Thomin.
