Celebrating Outstanding Fathers

Last week, we had an unforgettable time at the Fantastic Fathers Event, where we honored five amazing dads who show up, stand tall, and lead with love. The energy in the room was powerful — a true celebration of fatherhood and community.

Each father received:

• A chess set
• A chess carrying case
• A beginner’s guide to chess
• A Fixing Fathers T‑shirt

What a time we had — full of joy, connection, and appreciation.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Tamra Green for taking the time to celebrate these wonderful dads and helping to make this event truly special.

Join us in welcoming Bailee to the Fixing Fathers family! 🌟 She just received our $500 Pocket Change Award for her incredible impact on our community.

Bailee is a true force for good. As President of the Black and Hispanic Student Union and co-founder of Key Club International at Hamden High School, she helps empower students and fosters unity through service. She also explores future careers alongside her peers as an active member of the Health Professions Club.

Her dedication does not stop there. Between clocking in at her part-time job, attending church, and serving her community, Bailee stays focused on building meaningful connections.

Her future is incredibly bright. She is heading to Northeastern University to pursue her BSN, with ambitious plans to earn a doctorate in midwifery and open her own private practice.

We cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish, Bailee!

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible voters of Hamden's First District. Your dedication to our community is truly inspiring. Braving the blistering cold last week to cast your ballots shows just how much you care about the future of Hamden. I was out at 5:30 AM and was moved by the commitment of every person I met.
