TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!

THE 29TH ANNUAL VOMITORIUM RETURNS!
New Haven’s Most Indigestible Thanksgiving Tradition — Live at cafe nine
Wednesday November 26, 2025 Doors 8PM Show 9PM

New Haven, CT — Before you stuff the turkey, come stuff your soul with synths, solos, and shameless nostalgia. This Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 26th, the legendary 29th Annual Vomitorium erupts once again at Café Nine, bringing a glorious onslaught of 80s cover songs, questionable fashion, and crowd-sourced emotional purging.

What began as a few friends and a fog machine that wouldn’t quit has now become a beloved New Haven Thanksgiving Eve tradition. This year, The Vomitorium serves up a buffet of 80s hits — from A-Ha to The Replacements performed with the precision of a microwaved leftovers reheat!

So come early, stay late, and leave lighter than you arrived.
Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned survivor, The Vomitorium is New Haven’s most deliciously unhinged way to kick off Thanksgiving.

A Night of The Replacements!!

I am so excited that me and my friends will be performing all of The Replacements "Let It Be" and other gems this Sunday Nov. 2 at the Fairfield Theatre Company following the screening of Gorman Bechard's film on them "Color Me Obsessed" in celebration of the re-released "Let It Be" coming out this November.
We hope you can join us for this special night celebrating The Mats!
One of the greatest albums of all time played live from start to finish!

Come celebrate LET IT BE and The Replacements at FTC!
The evening kicks off with Color Me Obsessed, Gorman Bechard’s cult documentary about the band’s wild, devoted fanbase, followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker himself. Then the night crescendos with a full-album performance of "Let It Be"—the Replacements’ seminal masterpiece—brought to life by a supergroup of local Mats diehards.
Film. Conversation. Live music. Three ways to honor the band that defined a generation.

Sunday, November 2nd at 6pm

Tribute to The Replacements
To celebrate the release of the deluxe edition of “Let It Be” from The Replacements, a supergroup of local Mats fans have some together for this night to perform that iconic album from start to finish (with a few surprises to top the evening off). These brave young lads include:
Cary Pollick who ditched his pointy guitars after hearing The Replacements and founded The Big Fat Combo, then went on to play in The Danglers and The Zambonis.
Jim Balga started playing drums in the 70s, and in the 80s, he was playing professionally with a few bands. It was then that he was introduced to the music of The Replacements. He hasn't been right since.
Dean Falcone is a musician/composer who has scored numerous films and has worked/played with the likes of Aimee Mann, Norah Jones, Brian May, Neko Case, and countless others. He is currently playing around CT with the Shellye Valauskas Experience, Roger, C Reale and the Mediums.
Ed Valauskas is a bass player/producer who manages Q Division Studios in Cambridge, MA. He has performed live with Eddie Vedder, Graham Parker, Juliana Hatfield, Nada Surf, and is a member of CT’s The Gravel Pit. In the studio, he has recorded with Paul Westerberg, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Greg Hawkes and David Robinson (The Cars). And last but not least,
Steve Atwood has been the lead singer and guitarist for The Steve Atwood Band for the last 25 years. Steve really embodies Paul Westerberg in voice and spirit.

I hope you can join us for this great and funny documentary, pizza & beer.

From Gorman Bechard:
I am very proud to welcome my friend of some 45 years, Dean Falcone, as the new co-host to The Secret Music Documentary Society. I hate the Beach Boys. He hates Archers of Loaf. Sparks will fly.
Next up: Thursday, May 22 at 6pm for pizza/7pm for movie!

(You can also save a few bucks and just come for the screenings) After each screening there'll be a discussion about the film, as to why it was chosen, why it works, with the audience. Who doesn't love talking movies and music!
It's a night of music, pizza and beer...with some good conversation at the end...does anything sound better!!! Plus you'll finally get to see the movie you didn't even know you needed to see! Your new favorite film, perhaps!

I am so excited to be a part of this show.
It is a great charity event.
Tickets will be going on sale next Tuesday, and it will surely sell out fast. This is a pretty small venue for Cheap Trick and it is Hot Stove, Cool Music’s 25th anniversary!
More artists to be announced shortly.
