End-of-year celebrations are underway, and we are so proud of our students.

These certificates celebrate growth — the skills students built, the effort they brought day after day, and the confidence they gained as readers.

Across grade levels, Boundless Literacy students made strong gains this year, including an average of more than two years of growth in Correct Letter Sounds for first graders and more than a year and a half of growth in decoding and blending on average for second and third graders.

We are so proud of our students, our teachers, and our school partners. Learning to read lasts a lifetime. 💙

Meet Toffy, our current Literary Pets leader! 🐾📚

Toffy likes walking around New Haven to help her people get their Fitbit steps, and she is also an expert cuddler and sleeper. She loves tummy rubs and racing out the back door, but she does not enjoy walking in heavy rain, which feels very fair.

Want to help Toffy earn the top (cover) spot in the calendar? Or maybe your pet has calendar-star potential? Click the link to vote or enter. The field is still wide open, and the contest runs through June 27.

Some sweet end-of-year snapshots from today. 💙

As the school year winds down, students were still hard at work creating concept maps for sound patterns like ck, nk, and ch — connecting sounds, letters, words, and meaning in ways that are hands-on, thoughtful, and fun.

It’s a small glimpse of the kind of literacy growth that happens step by step, sound by sound, all year long. We’re so proud of our students and grateful for the teachers who make this work possible every day. ✏️📚

This is why we do the work.

We recently asked teachers in our partner schools to share what they are seeing in students who receive Boundless Literacy tutoring, and their responses mean so much to us.

Students are not only improving in decoding, spelling, reading, and writing — they are building confidence. They are taking more risks, participating more fully, and beginning to see themselves as readers.

We are deeply grateful to the teachers and school partners who took the time to share these reflections. Their insight, partnership, and commitment to students help make this work stronger every day.

And we are so proud of our Boundless Literacy educators, who bring skill, care, consistency, and joy to students each day.

Learning to read changes what’s possible. 💙
