Lyrically I wrote about looking forward and getting older, but didn’t want the song to be a drag so we rocked it out to end the album on a high note. Creating music as an independent artist can be a long process, and Ballad of a Coward Flower is proof! I wrote the song in 2018 about life in 2013, although much is still relevant to artists today as well, and the song wasn’t ready to record until our third album.
