Enabling Catholic parents to be the primary educators of their children in the faith. Why Family Formation?

A careful reading through the documents of the Catholic Church quickly reveals the Church’s great expectations for the family. “The right and duty of parents to give education is essential … original and primary … and it is irreplaceable and incapable of being entirely delegated to others.” Familiaris Consortio, 36 “The family is a domestic church.” Lumen Gentium, 11

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus ♥️

"In our world where so many families are fractured and weary, Christ's heart burns all the greater, desiring nothing more than for us to open our hearts to His." — Archbishop Bernard Hebda

Parents, you are the first and most important teachers of your children's faith, and feast days like today are one of the simplest ways to live that out. You don't need anything elaborate. Pray together, color an image of the Sacred Heart for your home, and celebrate (it's a Solemnity, that means burgers and extra dessert are encouraged 🍔).

Want help? Comment HEART and we'll send you our FREE Sacred Heart family guide + coloring sheet.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, we trust in You.

Happy Feast of Corpus Christi! 🕊️

On Sunday, we celebrate the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. Living the faith with your family doesn’t need to be complicated. Here are 5 simple ways to celebrate with your family:

1️⃣ Join a Eucharistic Procession
Check if your parish is hosting one! This beautiful tradition of carrying the Blessed Sacrament through the streets is one of the most powerful public acts of faith we have.

2️⃣ Spend time in Adoration
Even 15 minutes sitting quietly before the Eucharist is a meaningful way to honor the day.

3️⃣ Bake bread together
Honor the humble gift of bread by making a loaf from scratch with your family. A simple, hands-on way to reflect on what the Eucharist really means.

4️⃣Write a thank-you note to Jesus
Corpus Christi is a feast of thanksgiving. Take a few minutes to put into words what receiving Him actually means to you.

5️⃣ Set up a home altar
A candle, a cloth, some flowers. Invite your kids to help arrange it and make the feast feel special at home.

👉Comment ALTAR below, and we’ll send you a FREE guide on how to create and bless a home altar with your family.

Save this post and pick one to try!

Congratulations to Sebastian Spencer and Peter Romens, two former Family Formation kids who were ordained to the priesthood on Saturday in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Later at his reception, Father Peter thanked his parents, saying, "Raising me in the Faith is the greatest gift I ever received."
