Newly elected At-Large Hallowell City Councilor
The Monday 4/13 Hallowell City Council meeting has an updated TIF allocation agenda item. As the TIF district evolves and development increases the total value of property in the district has increased. As such, the overall TIF funds have increased and we need to update the total amounts in each allowable spending category. This is not a change to the TIF district but rather a regular updating of values. Link to the agenda below.
Today is the deadline for filing for the homestead exemption if you are eligible.

Finance Committee Meeting will be this Wednesday 5:30-6:30 in the Auditorium. We will finalize our schedule up through June passage of the budget with meetings bi-weekly starting on Wednesdays and then changing to Thursdays in April.

HALLOWELL'S WINTER PARKING BAN
With the first significant snowfall in the forecast, it's also a good time to remind everyone of Hallowell's City Parking Ban. The Winter Parking Ban is in effect from November 15th through April 1st... which means there is no parking on city streets from midnight to 6:00 a.m.

Due to the snowstorm, City Hall will be closing today at noon. Please be safe if you have to drive and also remember the parking ban is in effect from 12:00 am to 6:00 am on all city streets in Hallowell.
