Waking up early is a non-negotiable for me!

Once I experienced the increase in productivity and impact I could make with the extra time, I was never going back.

What if you woke up at 5am every day instead of 7 am?

That’s 2 more hours every day

730 hours every year

That’s 18 40 hour weeks you’d gain from waking up earlier.

What if you spent 18 40 hour weeks investing in yourself?

Your business, your dreams?

What could you create?

Who would you become?

What difference would you make?

Think about it?

Have you ever thought about how the things you consider to be your biggest "disadvantages" in life could actually be your biggest advantages?

It all depends on how you choose to see them.

I think this is one of the biggest roadblocks for most people.

Let me explain...

For most of my life, I've always been the "crazy one."

For the majority of my existence on this planet I'd self loath:

"Why am I the unlucky one who got addicted parents and mental disorder.?"

Then one day it clicked and I’m so grateful it did.

God didn’t hate me. He put me here for a reason…

The reason he put me here was blatantly obvious…

The minute I started to rewire my thought process on this everything changed … not just for me … for a lot of people.

Instead of pointing the finger at how "unlucky" or “cursed” I was...
I adopted the mindset that this was an opportunity for me to overcome my struggles right in front of everyone … everyday … and show others what's actually possible for them as well.

I bought into that fully and lived it … and still live it.

Today, my entire mission is to help others overcome their struggles and improve their health, fitness, confidence, discipline, skillset, and quality of life.

Had I not given myself the opportunity to push through my own struggles...

Had I not opened my own eyes to the tremendous opportunity in my hands, I would have never developed the skills and experience to help others through the exact same journey.

Understand, this exact same concept can be applied to any area of your life RIGHT NOW.

So if you feel less fortunate or unlucky or cursed…

Consider the fact that these disadvantages are actually providing you an incredible opportunity for you to win...

and even better … help other people win.

IF you choose to overcome them.

You owe it to the people in your life to win...

You owe it to the future generations to win...

Because by winning in your life, you're setting an example for other people of what's possible in their lives.

But when you choose not to compete...

You f*** over the people who matter to you the most.

Is that really what you want?

I didn't think so.

Go out and f***ing compete.

You were born to win.

At some point there are no more excuses. You’re either willing to do everything it takes to make it happen, or you’re not.

This is where I find myself.

I have a strong why, but do I have what it takes to make it happen?

I want to be like the influencers I follow. Always on the grind, putting in the hours doing the hard things. Always disciplined and
consistent.

But too often I choose comfort.

I do the bare minimum.

I avoid hard things.

I have a mood disorder. Some days I wake up ready to take on the world, and some days I have little to no motivation.

I do believe that my mental disorder makes things challenging, and that I have an additional obstacle that makes it tougher to succeed.

I give myself grace, but when I break promises to myself and fail to do what’s necessary, I feel shame, and it gets harder to move forward.

It’s easier to quit.

I’ve adjusted my meds hoping that it’s a chemical imbalance not a lack of fortitude.

The real tragedy is that I know if I put in the work the results will be there.

This isn’t an unknown risky endeavor. If I do the things I need to do, I will have the life I want to have but even that doesn’t inspire me to act when I don’t want to.

That really scares me.

I want to be like David Goggins, Jocko Willink, Joe Rogan, and Andy Frisella, resolute, and willing to go to any length.

But I just don’t know.

I want to lie to you and project strength.

That I have it all together and I’m crushing my goals.

But I’m scared…

Scared that I will fall way short of the impact I can make because I’m weak.

But I will keep fighting one day at a time.

Will you fight with me?

Navigating life successfully with mental illness requires perseverance, resiliency, determination, and grit.

It’s a fight but one you can win. Mental doirder doesn’t have to impede you from being whatever you want to be, and doing whatever you want to do.

It’s going to be tough, and you’ll have to work hard. Don’t give up! Breakthrough is coming!!!

Before I began my journey of becoming a mental health counselor and speaker I was a 4 time college dropout, borderline unemployable, and a felon with untreated bipolar disorder.

Once I realized that all of my issues were a result of mental illness and accepted the fact that I’d have to treat it for the rest of my life, I went from hopeless to convinced nothing could stop me!

Recovering with mental illness and achieving success is a product of 4 traits.

Perseverance - persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

To that point college seemed impossible but I never gave up.

Resiliency- the capacity to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulties

Living with untreated mental illness resulted in numerous failures and my life was a disaster. But I always picked myself up and attacked life even harder.

Determination & grit firmness of purpose and a passion for achieving my goals.

When my bipolar was treated I became relentless in pursuing my passion of helping others to achieve success and didn’t stop until I made it a reality.

My message is this

No matter your hurts, your mistakes, or your diagnosis you can accomplish anything and life a life beyond your wildest dreams.

The bridge from serious mental illness to success is a short one, I’ve crossed it. Follow me!

I’ve been selected to speak at Ben Eden’s HR Well-being week in March.

this is a great opportunity for me to offer value to human resource professionals. In 2019 HR pros became my favorite people when Mary Cheddie selfishly provided me with an opportunity that would change my life forever.

I have been walked off property and asked to leave by HR more times that I made it to a job’s 90 day probationary period.

When I was provided with this amazing opportunity, I learned everything I could about HR professionals. Human resource professionals are amazing. People uniquely positioned to provide maximum impact.

And for anyone else out there that wants to chase their dream go after it! When I decided, I wanted more for my life I fought for it with everything I had. It took perseverance, resiliency, determination, and grit.

I’ve made it, and you can too!

How did you do this week?

With your resolutions?
Your goals?

New year new you, right?

What did you do this week to change old you?

The first thing I did was establish what I want my identity to be.
I want to be a confident man.
A man that doesn’t carry the shame of breaking promises to himself
A man worthy to lead other man to the best versions of themselves

This week I tracked
*Exercise
*Eating healthy
*Read 10 pages a day
*Posting videos on social media
*Social media networking
*Professional development

My goal this year is to do these things 80% of the year.

This week
*Lost 3 pounds
*More energy
*Read another book
*Lifted people up on social media.

1. Choose your identity
2. Choose the habits that will lead you towards that identity
3. Execute

01/05/2023

Who you are is the sum total of what you do!

Will your actions be congruent with who you want to become?

Every decision matters.

Every fork in the road offers a choice.

The path to the person you want to be or the path to a much lesser version of who you are capable of becoming.

Choose habits that cast a vote for the best you!

How to own 2023!!!

I was listening to Joe Rogan the other day and he said, “What if this year you made your health a priority and gave it everything you got?”

“What about your business, or your relationships.”

I thought, have I ever made something a priority and executed consistently for an entire year?

With college I did. When I decided to put everything into it, I earned a 3.9 gpa and graduated magna cm laude.

I want to know what will happen if I go at my health, relationships, and business as hard as I can.

Who will I become?

What will I accomplish?

What kind of life will I have created?

I got a habit journal, and my goal is to check off the tasks that will produce the outcomes I want in every area of my life.

My intention is to complete these tasks 80% of the year.

To answer Joe’s question…

I would be unrecognizable, full of confidence, living my dream life, and helping many men do the same.

Will you join me?

3 ways to win 2023

1️⃣ Decide who you want to be and establish your desired identity

2️⃣ Identify the habits that support your identity

3️⃣ Execute these habits more days than you don’t.

✔️ Every time you choose to do these habits you cast a vote for the person you want to become!!!

01/03/2023

I'm building something this year and here's the blueprint.

What kind of man will I be?
What can I accomplish?
What type of life will I create?

I'm going to find out.

Make a plan!

Start with your foundational tasks; health, personal development, family, business.

Make them non-negotiable.

Design your life to support the identity that you want to personify.
And execute.

No matter what!

Every. Single. Day.

I believe in you!

01/03/2023

Make a choice to become the person you want to become!

It won’t happen passively. It takes action!

All day long there will be fork in the road moments. One path will lead you to your best like and the other will lead you to regret.

Make choices that support your desired identity.

I believe in you!
