Surf cat ranch went to Lahaina to help trap last night. We were gifted with this treasure 😻. We named her Lilly after our sweet volunteer. OMG look at this sweet kitten living on the streets of Lahaina. Welcome to the fold sweet baby

I receive calls on a regular basis that go like this- my sister is in hospice and she has twelve cats that live outdoors that we want you to take them😵‍💫
I ask if she lives with someone. Yes, there are family members that will remain in the house. I say, to honor your sister, take care of her cats. That is what she would want. Cats do not like to move. They may stop eating or run away. Your sister wants the best for her kitties. Please continue to care for them.

I’m just going to throw it out right now. Maui needs community cat management. Neighborhood cats aka Brian and Susi will not support community cat management. Maybe to support the future needs of MHS as a facility. Maui can control the overproduction of cats. This is not the impossible dream. 😲
