These two ladies had a special delivery from the team at Home Depot Location 6760, which is a Distribution Center right here in Hagerstown. We’ve been partnering with Home Depot since 2025 when they hired a person we support, and they’ve since found even more ways to support our mission, including by donating sensory toys to our Sensory Shed. The Home Depot team poured immense love and consideration into this project, as they created all of the items themselves! We now have colorful bottles with fun objects and glitter, 3D-printed sensory cubes, and ribbon rings for the public to explore in our Sensory Shed. Plus, they donated additional supplies for people supported to make additional arts and crafts. Our mission wouldn’t be possible without partners like Home Depot! Thank you for providing an accessible activity that benefits our entire community!

Thank you Marshall Street School for inviting us to your Groovy Year Party this afternoon! We loved encouraging students to decorate a canvas that the school can keep. Congrats to this year's graduates, and happy summer to all!

We want to give a HUGE congrats to La Toya, who recently completed the third and final NADSP course. NADSP, standing for National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals, provides credentialling to DSPs to help develop their skills, knowledge, and values. When asked about her favorite part of the courses, La Toya said she enjoyed creating the testimonials at the end of each course, as they allowed her to, "reflect on everything I learned and the affect it will have on people supported".

Star was pleased to give La Toya a $1,000 bonus for completing the third and final course. We are so proud of you, La Toya!
