EAA Chapter 36 is composed of approximately 40 aviation enthusiasts of all ages; and we're happy to bring on new members. The members of the chapter are dedicated to three main goals:
1) Promotion of aircraft homebuilding and support of builders. We provide builders access to the vast knowledge of our technical counselors and experienced homebuilders.

We’re proud to announce that Asa M., our current (6th) youth flight training scholarship recipient, recently accomplished his First Solo flight! Asa departed terra firma without a flight instructor on board demonstrating his ability to safely fly an aircraft on his own—with OneOnOne Flight Training @ Hagerstown Regional Airport.

Aviation-themed art contest for kids ages 6-17 who reside in MD or attend a MD school. The theme is “Women with Wings.” Prizes range from a Discovery Flight to money for art supplies. Let’s see those submissions!!!

Please help us congratulate Asa M., our 2024 recipient of the Ray Aviation Scholarship for youth flight training. He is training locally at Hagerstown Regional Airport. EAA Chapter 36 has now awarded $58,000 in youth flight training scholarships over the past six years—$74,500 in total scholarships during that same period.
