Tomorrow is my homework club's Valentine da party.
If anyone could provide some juice and some individual chips we would be very appreciative!!

We had an amazing African story teller yesterday. Her voice is amazing and the kids were able to engage through instrumental. An amazing experience that I cant wait to hear again (thank you Ms. Patricia)

Yesterday was our 2nd annual Kidsgiving and it was hosted and sponsored by our partners United Way of Washington County, Maryland. Heather Guessford and her staff are amazing, and I am so glad Mayor and Council meeting ended with enough time for me to be able to enjoy my kids and my amazing staff (who have been holding it down)

I will always give Hagerstown Housing Authority a huge shoutout for seeing my vision and giving me a hub to create.
I have a staff of 4 who all work full time jobs and families and still find time to make a difference even if it's just serving the kids we see on a day to day, they have truly been some of my biggest advocates.

We are more than just an after school club.. we are a unit.

Let's give a warm welcome to another one of our peer tutors/helpers Makiya Burrell. It makes a huge impact when helping in the community where you live.

Good Morning!!
Today is the kick off to Community Roots- nonprofit Homework club, a partnership with Hagerstown Housing Authority´s Parkside Pals. Parents come register your student with us. and community hear of ways you can help.
We take k-8. They will get fed and most importantly help with homework and other skills.

Please come out and support, and also hear what Community Roots- nonprofit has coming to the community with a partnership with HCC Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education

We would also like to hear your ideas. We are better together

I would like to invite any and all city officials (and ones who are running) Community leaders and members to come to our Open House September 30th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to hear about Parkside Pals a Community Roots- nonprofit project´s Homework club.
This is mine and my staff´s second (school) year, and we made tremendous work to make it a success.

This Homework club is in the Jonathan St area, where we partner with Hagerstown Housing Authority, BHS-Washington County Health Department (Vicki Campbell Sterling and United Way of Washington County, Maryland and so many partnerships.

lets come together to continue to provide resources for our kids. Stand with me!

Bring your chairs and or blankets and enjoy and movie. Food Trucks will be parked and set up Tata's Treats, LLC and Seasonz and a additional tent will be set up with popcorn and snack and drinks that a percentage of the proceeds will go to school for a Community Roots- nonprofit students!!
