Photo dump! Had the honor of doing the cake and macarons for my sister in laws shower 💚💛💙
Theme was classic pooh and let me just say that the Mom's nailed this one. Everything was so well thought out and executed. Every detail came together to make the most lovely transformation.
It was fresh, fun and sweet as hunny 🐝
Cake was Strawberry Shortcake Crunch, macarons were raspberry and lemon curd.
Congratulations to Mom and family. I know they had the best time celebrating their coming addition... because I was there 🤷♂️😉
Can't wait to meet the little one!

That feeling when it's almost midnight... it's been a long, hot day ahead of an insane week ahead and you have macarons to do... In the heat and humidity... After failing 3 times last weekend.... roughly 200 wasted shells and ingredients....
But they come out almost perfect! 🙌👏🙏🏿🤲

Summer is pie season ☀️🥧
It's not technically summer but who's counting? 😎
You can only see the tops of these bad boys until they're cut open so here's the breakdown 👇👇
PEANUT BUTTER PIE
Graham Cracker Crust under a heartier Peanut Butter filling that still uses whipped cream but also cream cheese and extra PB for a more decadent slice. Topped with a layer of chocolate ganache, homemade whipped cream and a whole pack of chopped Reeces. The PB Pie you know and love but upgraded ✌️
STRAWBERRY LEMON CREAM PIE
Shortbread Crust holds a layer of an entire quart of sliced strawberries in a homemade glaze, topped with a lemon cream layer that combines cream cheese and homemade lemon curd. Topped with homemade whipped cream, more strawberries and more lemon curd 🍋🍓
The perfect cool treat for these hot days and any celebration 🎉

Mom sent me some inspiration photos and I decided to go with a design based on the plates and decor. The theme was frogs and florals and I was so happy with how this turned out! Birthday girl chose Chocolate Cake with Raspberry filling. I had the pleasure of meeting her and wishing her a happy birthday. I hope she loved her cake and had the best time celebrating with family and friends.

Mindfully Made doesn't only apply to dessert; it represents a lifestyle of choices. Anything that can be done, can be done with intent. I had the pleasure of doing a different type of commission this weekend. Still decorating and working with my hands, just on wood instead of on cake 😉

Only took 4 tries and roughly 200ish wasted shells.... one of the many "joys" of baking. When failure isn't an option, in the words of Tim Gunn "Make it work!"
I have NO idea why they gave me such a hard time today. But I am OVER. IT. Until this coming weekend, of course 🙃 In the meantime, if you want any shells - broken, no filling, free. Let me know and I'll happily give you a bag. ✌️
