The NJ legislator is revisiting a state gas leaf blower ban bill and a second separate proposal to ban sales of all gas powered machines in a 2 year phase out program. When CA implemented the same laws, commercial land care rates increased greater than 250% in three years and contributed to the closure of over 1000 independent commercial power equipment sales shops throughout CA. Is that really what you want Haddonfield? ...I'll be happy to raise our rates 300% in just a couple years but I don't think you'll be. When the commercial electric machines are capable of doing the work and make sense financially we'll switch to them voluntarily. No need to legislate it.
