The book, Lucky Broken Girl, tells the story of a young girl who is hurt in an accident and has to get homeschooled during recovery. During this, she learns about the artist, Frida Kahlo, and identifies with her. Of course, one of my favorite books would feature one of my favorite artists too. I saw this quote when I checked out the Brooklyn Museum Frida exhibit yesterday. Hope to see many of you at Tween Book Club on March 22nd to discuss this book more!
