Holy Trinity Pack 5 Cub Scouts Hackensack

This Memorial Day, To honor those who have served our country, the Boy Scouts participated in numerous events this week.
They placed flags on grave sites of the Veterans at St Joes Cemetery and Hackensack Cemetery. This is a time honored tradition that Troop/Pack 5 has been doing for over 50 years.
Then they participated in our City’s Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony. They then proceeded to clean the neighborhood around Holy Trinity after the carnival as community service.

Another successful camping trip in the books! The kids had so much fun. ⛺️🎣🪳🐭🦝🕷️🌗

The Cub Scouts celebrated Pi Day! Thanks to some awesome dads leading the lesson, the boys learned Pi! Which then clearly was followed by devouring some pie! 🥧

Week 2 of our Scouts learning Engineering! They spent the evening building catapult, competing, and learning how to change the trajectory of their objects. Of course the nights wraps up with some fun games and blindfolded parents!

Our Scouts…future engineers! They ended National Engineers Week building structures that can withstand an earthquake! They all brought such great ideas and had a blast!

Our Annual Pinewood Derby was a success…thanks to all the parents and grandparents who helped. Our boys did amazing! True sportsmanship!

Our Pack and Troop had a nice Memorial Day! As we do each year, we attended the Hackensack Veteran’s Memoral Service. This year there were great speakers and we all learned alot. From there we went to clean up the area around the church after the carnival.
