Vienna Carroll learned music from the Black Ladies of her youth including her fearsome great grandmother who enjoyed playing country guitar every Saturday night but only strictly Pentecostal chords on Sundays. What an honor to participate in the MindBuilders Folk Culture project. The dedicated high schoolers, guided by their dedicated instructors/mentors Melinda Gonzales , Andrew Finales , and Waldo made beautiful films from interviews they conducted with NYC folk culture bearers, including yours truly!
The films are very professional, truly beautiful, and brought tears to my eyes. I hope to share mine with you shortly. Thank you Shirley Taylor for making Mind Builders the success that it is

Hollie Harper was Fire 🔥 on Saturday at Young Ethel’s. Along with her laughs partner Emily Flake and their guest comedians they had us rolling! And I got to hang with my Popes alum Ducky Do Not Miss Hollie’s next comedy show, she Funny as Hell!! And she sing too! 🎶😂🤣❤️🔥
