Reminder: Hackensack Public Schools will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth honors the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a time to reflect on our nation's history and celebrate freedom.

We wish our school community a meaningful Juneteenth.

Last week, HMS's National Junior Honor Society members were proud to induct fifteen new members into the Oratam chapter of the NJHS.

Each inducted member has demonstrated the qualities required for membership: leadership, character, service and scholarship, and are active members of their school and Hackensack community.

Congratulations to HMS's newest NJHS members!

Students will be provided time during the school day to clean out their lockers and should bring home all personal belongings. We encourage families to remind students to check their lockers carefully and take home any remaining items.
