April 19th 2025. The day people in this injury call our “life day”

Woke up that day for my final day doing the thing I loved and was chasing a dream of since I was 6 years old and had no idea that it would be the last time I could strap the boots up, feel my feet hit the floor in the morning, hop out of bed and go cycling like I loved to do, help my wife lift something heavy. Makes you put life into perspective of how fast it can all change in an instant, I remember laying on the ground looking at the sky and just in more disbelief than anything, seeing my wife come to the side of the medic unit bawling and scared is heartbreaking for a man to watch. I remember being on the go all day with training, traveling, racing and just repeating the cycle of it every week and never taking a moment to really soak in the memories of it all. Finally was making progress for things I always struggled to figure out for myself like having belief in my ability on a race day, I was always so mean and critical to myself, never appreciated the good things I did for my racing or my life. It was always a “could be better” mindset and that’s one thing I really worked on the past two years and I actually started racing closer to how I would practice during the week, my results improved and I was proud of that. Take a moment to reflect on what you have accomplished in your life, give yourself some grace through the bu****it life throws at you because unfortunately it can throw curveballs at you like you wouldn’t believe. If you’re wanting to skip that workout, put off that chore, avoiding a task just go do it because you don’t know when you might take your last step toward it all.

Definitely have had my fair share of heavy days where it’s hard to get out of bed and navigate my new routine, a big part of me was left at MetLife stadium that I can’t get back and I’ll miss that forever. My wife didn’t flinch when life flipped upside down, she has so much strength to pick me up and help the man she made those vows to and I’m so grateful for the resilience she’s shown every step of the way. Love you all, thank you for supporting me through this journey❤️

Can’t believe it’s coming up on one year from my injury already, time flies. Miss the daily grind of being at that level in a sport🙏🏻

Day in the life ♿️ kind of a long one but it was a good day with the boys training at the Yamaha track! Water system broke over the weekend too so we just had to make the most of it, enjoy the little training vlog🫡

Had all the fun out east😵‍💫 definitely one of the worst mud races I’ve been in, shoutout to my mechanic for busting his ass as usual. Passed into a transfer spot a few different times in the heat race but ended up going down near the end and heading to the LCQ. Bummed to not capitalize on points on a night like that but it is what it is! Onto Philly ✌🏻
