Yesterday, the Hackensack Police Department was honored to participate in the Chief for a Day program alongside Bergen County and 27 other law enforcement agencies.
Chief for a Day Noah Abruzzo spent the morning with us and was escorted throughout the day by Chief Antista. Noah enjoyed breakfast, toured Police Headquarters, explored police equipment, and learned more about the work our officers do each day.
After his visit, we joined Bergen County and the other participating agencies to celebrate this special event and the incredible children it honors.
Chief Antista said that Noah’s courage, positive attitude, and determination are an inspiration to everyone, especially the members of the Hackensack Police Department. We were proud to have him serve as our Chief for a Day.

The Hackensack Police Department Emergency Service Unit recently trained alongside the NYPD Detective Bureau Tactical Unit at the NYPD HIDTA Training Facility.
With the FIFA World Cup approaching and an increase in visitors expected throughout our region, our officers continue to train and prepare for a wide range of situations to ensure the safety of our community and those traveling through it.
During the training, members of Task Force Empire from the National Guard were also conducting exercises at the facility, providing a unique opportunity to train in an environment focused on readiness, coordination, and preparedness.
