When I read about Eden, one thing stands out to me... before sin, before thorns, before sweat and sorrow, there was fellowship.

Adam and Eve walked with their Creator. There was peace, othing to hide, nothing was broken, no endless striving. Life wasn't rushed. It was good. We lost that.

Ever since, mankind has been restless. We build. We chase. We worry. Even when we're sitting still, our minds often aren't.

Yet every seventh day, Yehovah tells us to stop.
He doesn’t need a day from us, but we need a day with Him.

The Sabbath was blessed and set apart at creation itself (Genesis 2:2-3). Long before Sinai. Long before there was an Israel. It was woven into the fabric of a world that had not yet tasted death. And when the prophets speak about the age to come, they paint a picture that sounds strangely familiar.

Nations learning God's ways. Swords turned into plowshares. Everyone sitting under their vine and fig tree, with none making them afraid (Micah 4:1-4). A world finally at peace.

Hebrews says, "So there remains a Shabbat rest for the people of God" (Hebrews 4:9, TLV).
I love that. Because every week, when Friday evening arrives, I feel like I've been invited to step out of the noise for a while. For a little while, I catch the scent of something ancient.
Something we once knew. Something we're still waiting for.

The Sabbath doesn't just remind me where humanity began. It reminds me that the story ends with peace, with fellowship, and with the King dwelling among His people again.

Every Sabbath is a small taste of Eden. And a quiet promise that Eden is not gone forever.
Shabbat Shalom.
