I think I really do love what I do.

These past few months have been difficult with motherhood, wifeyhood, everything in between, and then not just doing the baking thing but having to be creative with it too. I wasn’t baking the way I am now with my littlest with me when my oldest two were her age. And I’m not even doing nearly as much as sooo many other working mamas are. 🙇🏽‍♀️ I have had days these months where in the back back parts of my mind I’ve wondered- do you even really like doing this baking stuff?

Welp. It’s 11:58 pm and I just pulled 4 pans of banana muffins out of the oven because I wanted to make them for some people in my life because I can. Know what my first thought was when I opened the oven door, the smell rushed into my face, and I looked at these guys? I love this. I’m not saying I won’t still struggle in this season, but why else would I stay up til midnight (they gotta cool and be moved from their pans still) willingly if I didn’t like this baking stuff.

Doing these sweet treats was such a special moment. To see a young lady you love grow into a beautiful woman and to celebrate the love and grace she will give to the one she will share her life with is simply special.
