Mother Rudd Home Museum
The Warren Township Historical Society was organized in 1975 to unite all people interested in the history of Warren Township, Lake County, Illinois.
We learn about our history, collect pertinent artifacts, and preserve those artifacts for the future. The Mother Rudd Home Museum was established in 1991 and is overseen by the Warren Township Historical Society.The museum is open to the public on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 12pm, and at scheduled Open Houses throughout the year. Prior to his presentation last weekend at the Bess Bower Dunn Museum of Lake County, historical novelist James Ciccone and his sister Diane Ciccone stopped by. The Ciccones are 7th-generation descendants of the brother of Amos Bennett, the first settler in Warren Township.

Gurnee Days open house today and tomorrow, 1-4. Have you ever seen our little out-building, the "Chicken Coop"? It's open to visitors for the first time. And of course both floors of the main building are open too.

We are excited to welcome John Rouse and his photo presentation about Lake County Farmland! It's this Monday, June 19th at 7:00pm.
John took up photography as a hobby in 2011. He photographs and documents Lake County barns, farms, silos and stables.
