The Gunter Police Department would like to express its gratitude to members of our department and community.
At the last City Council meeting, Chief Jones introduced our newest officer, Officer Weikle, to the council, where his badge was officially pinned. This was a proud moment for both Officer Weikle and the department as he begins his service with the City of Gunter.
Following the badge pinning ceremony, Chief Jones presented Gunter Police Department Chaplains John Jonas and Roy Layman with Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their dedication and unwavering commitment to the City of Gunter, our officers, and their families. Without their continued support, guidance, prayers, and willingness to serve during both difficult and celebratory times, our department would not be as strong as it is today. Their compassion and dedication have made a lasting impact on our officers and the community we serve.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Marion Cole for being present to capture these moments for us. We appreciate your support.
Thank you to all who help make the Gunter Police Department and our community stronger each day.
