Joshua 3:4

“Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before.”

Today we’re talking about something I think we sometimes forget: our God is a God of impeccable order, intention, and structure.

Nothing about your story is random. Nothing has happened in your life by coincidence. The doors that opened, the ones that closed, the people He brought into your life, the places He moved you from, and even the wilderness seasons — God has been intentional through all of it.

Joshua 3:4 reminds the Israelites that they were going somewhere they had never been before. They didn’t know the way. They couldn’t rely on experience. They had to follow the presence of God.

And maybe that’s where some of us are today.

You’ve never been this version of you before.
You’ve never walked this road before.
You don’t know exactly what’s on the other side.

But you don’t have to know the whole path when you know Who is leading you.

So today, I’m challenging you to believe bigger and live bolder. Stop dismissing the details as coincidence. Start looking for the intention of God in your story.

He is not a God of chaos.
He is not careless with your life.
He is not randomly moving pieces around.

He is intentional. He is ordered. He is purposeful. And He knows the way.

You may have never been this way before… but He has. 🤍

WHOSE VALIDATION ARE YOU SEEKING?

“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” — Proverbs 29:25

How often do we let the opinions of people determine what we do with what God has placed inside of us?

We have these BIG dreams.
These BIG desires.
These things that we feel deep down God is calling us toward…

And then we tell somebody about it.

And they don’t understand it.
They question it.
They tell us why it won’t work.
They remind us of every reason we should be afraid.

And suddenly, we start doubting something God put in us because someone else couldn’t see it.

But here’s what I want you to remember this morning:

God didn’t give you the vision so everybody else could understand it.

Not everyone is going to see what you see. Not everyone is going to understand what God is doing in your life. And they don’t have to.

Proverbs 29:25 says the fear of man is a snare.

And I think sometimes that snare looks like needing everyone’s approval before we’re willing to obey God.

“What will they think?”
“What if they think I’m crazy?”
“What if I fail?”
“What if they’re right?”

But what if we stopped asking, “What do THEY think?”

And started asking, “God, what do YOU say?”

Because those dreams, those desires, those ideas that keep coming back to you… maybe they aren’t there for you to ignore.

Maybe they’re there because God is inviting you to take a step.

And friend, you don’t need everybody to validate what God has called you to do.

You just need to seek Him, trust Him, and be willing to obey.

People may not understand the vision.

They may not see the possibility.

They may even tell you to stay where you are.

But don’t let somebody else’s fear become the ceiling on your obedience.

Seek Him over their approval.
Trust Him over their opinions.
And choose obedience over the fear of what people might think.

Because sometimes the only thing standing between where you are and where God is calling you…

is your willingness to take the next step. 🤍

START BEFORE YOU’RE READY

What if the thing you’ve been waiting on… is waiting on you to take the first step?

We often say, “I’m just waiting on God.”

Waiting for the right time.
Waiting for more money.
Waiting until we feel qualified.
Waiting until we have the plan figured out.
Waiting until we’re confident enough.

But sometimes, God isn’t asking us to wait.

He’s asking us to move.

Because faith doesn’t always come with a five-step plan. Sometimes faith looks like taking one step when you can’t see the next ten.

Think about David.

He didn’t become a giant slayer when Goliath showed up. He had already been preparing in the field. The quiet season wasn’t wasted. The ordinary days weren’t meaningless. The battles nobody saw were preparing him for the battle everybody would see.

Your waiting season is not a season of doing nothing.

It’s preparation.

Prepare while you wait.
Pray while you wait.
Learn while you wait.
Build while you wait.
Practice while you wait.
Get your heart ready while you wait.

Because God can take the small thing in your hand and do something far greater than you could have imagined.

Don’t despise the small beginning.

That little idea? Start it.
That gift? Use it.
That dream? Take one step.
That business? Make the first move.
That calling? Say yes.

You don’t have to feel ready.

You just have to be willing.

Sometimes we’re asking God to bless the next step while He’s waiting for us to take the first one.

And when you take that step of obedience, you may discover that God was already waiting on the other side of it.

So today, stop asking, “Am I ready?”

Ask instead:

“What is the next faithful step God is asking me to take?”

Take it.

And trust Him with what comes next. 🤍

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10

Your waiting season isn’t wasted.
Your small beginnings aren’t insignificant.
And your first step doesn’t have to be perfect.

Just start.

What if God is asking you to believe bigger?
What if you’ve been expecting too little because you’ve been looking at what YOU can do instead of what HE can do?

Matthew 13:58 says, “And he did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

That verse gets me every time. 😳

Not because God isn’t powerful enough… but because our unbelief can limit what we are willing to receive from Him.

And then Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”

MORE than you asked.
MORE than you imagined.
MORE than you could figure out on your own.

So maybe today, God is challenging you to stop putting a ceiling on what He can do.

Stop saying:
“I don’t know how.”

“I’m not qualified.”

“That could never happen.”

“It’s too far gone.”

“I’ve tried that before.”

Instead, start saying:

“God, I believe You can.”

I’m going to have BIG, BOLD FAITH—not because I know how it’s going to happen, but because I know WHO I’m trusting.

Faith doesn’t mean we know the outcome.
Faith means we trust the One who does.

So today, ask bigger. Believe bigger. Expect God to move in ways you couldn’t accomplish on your own.

And when God does more than you could ask or imagine… don’t forget to give Him ALL the glory. 🤍
