I am saddened by the posts from dance instructors closing their doors due to disrespectful behaviors from both students and parents. Running a dance school is hard work filled with both personal and financial challenges. We do it for the value of a dance education in our students’ lives. We could do almost anything else and make more money. When a teacher never gets a thank you and braves unreasonable criticism the joys of teaching are lost. Like raising a child many times the thank you comes after maturity. I still get messages of thanks I had never realized. Parents: Understand that , like you, your teacher knows without respect and discipline, effective learning cannot take place . The age of instant gratification without work ethic has to stop. Teachers! You may never know the child you saved. Hang in there. You are needed! ❤️Fast Pat
