21 months have passed since Hurricane Helene, but for many in our community, the recovery is still a daily reality. As highlighted in the recent news, the road to completely rebuilding our neighborhoods is far from over.

Whether it’s a family still navigating home repairs or a senior struggling with lingering property damage, Columbia County Community Connections is here for the long haul. Our Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) application is open and ready to assist those who still need a helping hand.

Georgia ranks 39th in the nation for child well-being.

The newly released 2026 KIDS COUNT Data Book shows a complex picture for our kids. While child poverty dropped to 16%, Georgia’s child health ranking slid to a worrying 45th in the nation.

Behind every single statistic is a child right here in our state. This data underscores exactly why our work at Columbia County Community Connections matters—rankings only improve when we support the whole child and the whole family. Let's work together to change these numbers.

Big thanks to our amazing partners at Golden Harvest Food Bank!

We were recently awarded a foundational infrastructure grant to level up our Food4Kids program operations! 🎒🍏

From industrial vertical shelving and heavy-duty sealable storage bins to new platform trucks and rolling carts, this heavy-duty equipment is a total game-changer for our workflow. Better infrastructure means we can store, pack, and transport food for our local kids more efficiently than ever before.

Camp season has been non-stop in the best way, but we have to throw it back to the Ethan Noah Scholarship Award Ceremony!

Because of your incredible support at the Free Your Feels 5K, we were able to do something unforgettable. Not only did we award our top three scholarships, but every single applicant went home with a check to support their future! 🎓✨
