Colligo Marine Para-D Standing Rigging keeps weight down and confidence up! 💨

Once a week we hear a story like, so and so says "Dyneema does not work for standing rigging". Its too stretchy!, It Creeps!, it will go loose when the temp changes!, etc. Well here is just one example of how Dyneema works for standing rigging. Diamond stays on a Leopard 48 Cat that was rigged in North Carolina and is now in Panama, on its way to the South pacific. Diamond stays have very high pretension so they present the biggest challenge for creep sensitive materials. In addition, this boat has an aluminum mast so thermal expansion is at it worst, since the aluminum contracts while the Dyneema expands. Still, look at it working! Colligo knows how to engineer Dyneema for standing rigging. The owner is very happy with his rig that is even (arguably) safer than when it was in steel. 10-15 years lifetime in the tropics. If your rigger says it will not work then please have him call us we can educate him or her. Over 3000 boats now in Dyneema!

We use heat stretched SK75 Dyneema from Hampidjan because this produces a 12 cell line tightly compressed, that has virtually 0 constructional stretch!
