Dogs Rule!

Dear Dogs Rule! friends,
This is the most difficult post I’ve had to make since opening Dogs Rule! Dog Day Care over 16 years ago. As a favor I ask that you read to the very end so you’ll know the full story directly from the source.

The strip mall the daycare has operated out of all these years has been purchased by an investor. The new landlord has just informed me that a dog daycare “does not make sense in this space” and we have been given 30 days to vacate the premises so he can replace us with a retail business.

Thirty days doesn’t give us a shot of finding a new space, negotiating a lease, moving equipment, doing buildout and moving all of our beautiful dogs and clients somewhere else…nearby if we’d been lucky, or somewhere else further away.

I am both stunned and heartbroken.

This has never been just a business to me. Dogs and people are my thing 😍 and it’s been one of the biggest joys for me to see your puppies, & your children, grow up alongside my pups and my son.

We have celebrated new babies, graduations, promotions, marriages and other major life events with so many of you.

We’ve cried together over the passing of many, many precious pets and precious humans that we’ve had the privilege of knowing because of Dogs Rule! I have truly met some of the kindest, most caring people in the world and I treasure your friendships more than you know.

I can’t begin to thank the young people whom I’ve worked with side by side over the years. They have loved and cared for your dogs as their own and helped to build the excellent reputation of Dogs Rule! within our community. They’re not only losing their positions but also the best work buddies 🐶 anyone could have.

I’m hoping to find a way forward from this but at this point our final day will be Friday, September 26, 2025 at this location and ask that all prepaid packages be used by that date. We do encourage you to continue to bring yourselves and your dogs as long as you are able to.
