GDRHS Art Club & National Art Honor Society Hosts...

CRAFT NIGHT

Pizza, nut-free snacks, and drinks to be provided! Cost includes food and art materials. All remaining proceeds will go towards Art Club/NAHS events and senior scholarships for graduating GDRHS seniors planning on pursuing majors/careers in the visual arts.

Grotonfest 2023!!! Come visit our Art Club and NAHS booth, we'll be here until 4pm! Free facepainting and jewelry, keychains, and knit items for sale, all handmade by our artists! All proceeds go toward NAHS Senior Scholarships and purchasing art materials to use for future events and fundraisers!

Double award-winning drawing "Test Day" by Leah K '24!! This piece was awarded both a Massachusetts Scholastic GOLD KEY and an Honorable Mention in the New England Emerging Young Artists juried exhibit. "Test Day" will be on display at 2/9-2/19 and at 3/18-3/25. Congratulations Leah!!!

Meet Miss Gloor, our fantastic student teacher this fall!! She is finishing her BFA at Montserrat College of Art and graduating next month. Here at GD, she is teaching all Art Explorations and Drawing & Painting classes and co-teaching Portfolio & AP until Dec. 9th. We're so happy to have you with us!!! 🥰🎨 .art

National Art Honor Society Conference 2022!!! Thank you to Ms. Deschamps, Ms. Fraser, and all of our new friends at Mashpee High School for making the trip all the way out here! It was so great to meet you and we had so much fun!!! Also thank you to everyone else who made this event possible: for all your support and lending us your space (and Bisbee for wifi support), our school's admin for their support and encouragement (and Mr. Woodlock and Mr. S for visiting) for your wonderful performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, for your support and for sponsoring this event, our art & NAHS alums Haley Ashburn '18 .by.haley .annalise, Melody Park '19 , Catrin Shrady '19 , Jessie Wang '20 , and Jai Santoro ''21 for participating in our alumni speaker and Q&A panel (it was so nice to see you all again!), Ms. Hurley and her NAHS members at Braintree High School for their support and advice, and of course our amazing NAHS members and officers for running the show and putting this conference together, and special thanks to our Chair of Events Sean Onesty '22 for rallying everyone together, being in charge of all the decorations and snacks, and for his leadership, vision, and dedication to transforming dreams and ideas into reality. The GDRHS National Art Honor Society chapter is hosting the 2022 NAHS State Conference Thursday May 12th 9am-12:30pm right here at the high school! Looking forward to meeting other NAHS chapters from across the state and reconnecting with some of our art alums! 😄🎨 Special thanks to Natalie Gavin '22 for designing our poster!
