I have barely made any art for the past year between adjusting to an ADHD diagnosis last spring (so much of my burnout makes sense now!), a breast reduction surgery over the summer (about damn time!), uncertainty with home repairs beyond our control, and of course - parenting while watching our country descend into a dystopian, fascist state.

Regardless of my executive functioning and creative rut, I wanted to be sure to proclaim from my business page what I scream out on my personal page: F**K ICE. F**K TRUMP. F**K ANYONE WHO IS COMPLICIT & SILENT.

Take care of each other. Your friends, family, your neighborhood, your community. This isn’t going to stop unless we make it stop. Check on your neighbors. Donate to legal defense funds, mutual aid, food banks. Call out and report hate speech. Share art by real people - cartoons/comics, music, poetry, paintings, embroidery, essays, photographs. If it is safe for you to do so, go to protests. If you’re a parent, teach and model empathy and media literacy for your children. Stay angry, but ground yourself with deep breaths and your favorite music and comfort shows and little joys. Remember that they want us to feel small and afraid and overwhelmed. We can’t and won’t let them win.

Hi friends!

First - I wanted to let you all know that we’ve got our actual greenhouse built and are planting more seeds and moving tropicals out here everyday! Truly a dream come true to have this special growing place so we can grow more food and more happy plants.

Second - it’s been tough to tap into creativity for the past 100+ days. It truly feels like years since this fascist administration has taken over and aside from my Punch N***s print/digital design, I feel like I’m just trying to make it through each day while caring for and uplifting my friends, family, & community.

Third - At 37.5 years old, I finally got my ADHD diagnosis and feel AMAZED at how much more executive functioning I’ve unlocked via medication. I’m slowly trying to refocus on myself and my health so while I will still be vending at in September, I won’t be regularly vending this summer. I might possibly do some guest spots, but will likely be quietly trying to find creative inspiration to write, draw, & grow.

Just a sneak peek of a work in progress to let y’all know I’m still alive! Social media is dumb (screw you, ) and it feels like society is crumbling AND it’s winter?! Yeah, I’m deep in isolation mode over here.

This is the first thing I’ve made since before the holidays (except for Wicked-themed friendship bracelets for me and my kids) and I’m trying to give myself grace as I take it slow and ride out the winter/end-of-democracy blues. Lots of detail work and cleaning up details to do, but having fun trying to approximate an art nouveau octopus. 🐙

I’ll try to share stories a little more, but I will be back in action come springtime. Hope y’all are well!

Y’all! I feel like I’m still recovering from this past weekend at the Punk Rock Flea’s Dead Disco. I had an incredible time at my first (but definitely not last!) event. Big hugs to all of the organizers and volunteers who made this event so special. 🫶🏻

Meeting and connecting with so many of you from all over Connecticut was so special to me. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who purchased my work - it means the world to me and any artist when our art speaks to you. 🥹

And to my fellow vendors - you’re all such badasses. You are all so inspiring - your art, your vintage goods, your motivations for finding your creative outlets, all of it! Printing all the things today on my fancy paper! I am unbelievably pumped for ’s Punk Rock Flea Dead Disco this weekend! I’m getting all of my prints dried, tea towels packaged, and stickers packed for Saturday & Sunday (10/19 & 10/20). Can’t wait to see you all then!
