😔 Uh oh! Godot says he needs a bigger pool! 🤣🤭
It was hot today! Yuck! How did you help your pups keep cool?? We walked early, and came home to splash in the little pool. Then I went to work at the Groton city facility getting the walls as ready as we can for painting this weekend AND received the rubber floor mat shipment finally! 😍 Busy day!

We worked on lots of skills while out at Home Depot, but MOSTLY how to set him up for success! Most people just want a dog who can exist happily in the world, it doesn't have to be fancy! Enough leash manners and confidence to not be a nuisance or a hazard! So much of this work is just consistency and practice in lots of places. So much fun to see the dogs learn and grow!

The weather has been amazing!! We got out to hike to the lake yesterday. Don't forget to practice your recall whenever you get the chance! Here's Whimsy and her super speedy recall! Godot's recall.... Is not this fast 🤭 but to be fair, nothing he's ever done in his whole life has ever been speedy, so no surprise there!

Ben the Doberman puppy said, um what was that noise you just made!? 🤭🖤
This handsome boy is a LOT of puppy! We worked on some management strategies, some PLAY skills, and introducing some clearer communication using a marker word in training and advice for leash walking!
Need some help with puppy raising? Daily routine help? Ideas on where to put the crate? Structure nap times? 😵💫 Hard at work on the Groton city facility setup!! This gouge in the drywall that we are scraping, mudding, sanding, and preparing to paint is resonating with my emotional state this week! 😖 But wow are we making progress!! 🤩 I'll post a picture in the comments!!

Benny boy! Been about a week since my first visit, we worked hard on some new skills, taking our foundations to the next level. His humans have been practicing with him and he's doing so well! He has SUCH a strong default-down position, it's sometimes tricky to get him to hold a sit 🤭 all in good time! We also introduced a flirt pole and a real bison fur tuggie to try out some new ways of playing with him. Such a fun pup!
Vizslas are a pretty demanding breed, but after our training session he went inside for a drink, had a potty break, then zonked immediately in his crate! Good boy, Benny!!
This clip might look very simple... Dog walking next to human on leash... But consider how many skills go into something like this!
Handler focus, loose leash skills, auto stop with handler, confidence on the slippery flooring, confidence with the rattling cart so close by, confidence walking past tall, strange objects, ignoring people around us till invited to say hello... We sure do ask a lot of our dogs to accompany us on a simple shopping trip to the hardware store!
