Greer CPW

No water. No coffee. As we celebrate National Coffee Day, let us know where you are getting your caffeine fix!

Proud to participate in the 20th annual Greer Relief Golf for Relief tournament. With every putt, we’re helping support food, utility and emergency assistance along with stability programs for neighbors in need.

As we reflect on the two-year anniversary of Tropical Storm Helene's landfall, we're reflecting on a year of progress as we continue to make our utility stronger and more resilient.

Over the past year, we've invested in infrastructure, equipment, and our employees while advancing projects that were already underway and incorporating lessons learned from Helene. Each improvement reflects our ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable, affordable service while preparing for the future.
Here are just a few of the accomplishments from the past year:

• Following a very accelerated system-wide inspection, we replaced dozens of power poles in our service territory.
• Continue to design self-healing grids that will add redundancy to our electric system and improve outage restoration times.
• Continue our year-round tree pruning and right of way clearing maintenance around our equipment.
• Added a feature to the website that allows customers to view electric, water, and natural gas outages in real time.
• Implemented a verification prompt in the Customer Portal that encourages customers to review and confirm their contact information.
• Enhanced the Customer Portal with pop-up messages to keep affected customers informed about power outages, scheduled water outages, and emergency boil water advisories.
• Continued to add redundancy to our water system by adding additional valves that allow us to isolate even more sections of line and reduce the number of customers impacted by outages.
• Updated to ArcGIS Utility Network for natural gas to allow system modeling with the latest technologies.
• Added drones to our toolkit for surveying hard-to-reach areas of our lakes, sewer line right-of-way, and pole attachments.
• Finalizing a website chat feature to provide customers with fast, convenient answers to frequently asked questions, improving access to information, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
• Began developing a mobile app to improve customer convenience by bringing essential account and service functions directly to their fingertips.

Dolly may have sung about working 9 to 5, but we’re here for you 24/7 because providing safe, reliable, and affordable utilities doesn’t stop at 5. What a way to make a livin’!
