Postpartum Support and Nanny Placements that honor every family’s needs, including neurodivergent‑friendly care and early childhood education in Upstate SC

08/14/2026

Postpartum Power Hour is evolving. 💚

Creating a space where mothers feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for has been one of the greatest joys of this work. To keep offering these gatherings with the consistency and quality families deserve, Postpartum Power Hour will now take place one Saturday each month with a $20 ticket.

What isn’t changing:

✨ Trusted, highly qualified perinatal experts
✨ Free essentials for moms and babies
✨ A warm, safe, community-centered space
✨ Honest conversations about the realities of motherhood

This month, we’re honored to welcome Dr. Hailey B. Smith, PhD, MS, LPC, PMH-C—Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, and founder of Beyond the Concrete Counseling.

Dr. Smith will lead an important conversation around a question so many mothers quietly wrestle with:

“Who am I now that I’m somebody’s mother?”

Drawing from her professional expertise and deeply personal experience, Dr. Smith brings compassion, understanding, and meaningful support to mothers navigating identity, transition, grief, trauma, relationships, and the emotional realities of parenthood.

Tuesday’s Postpartum Power Hour was such a gift. We had two surprise visitors, and we spent time laughing, sharing stories about running our businesses, and talking honestly about the importance of making space for self‑care when we pour out so much. We also touched on how essential therapy can be as you navigate identity shifts and relationship changes from pregnancy into postpartum.

Susannah continues to be a gem in our community 💎she’s able to take moms within a week of initial contact, her website shows your exact out‑of‑pocket cost, and she’s been highly recommended by so many moms I’ve connected with.

See you in the Village — our next Power Hour is 8/22 💛 Divinity Doula

Who Am I Now That I’m Somebody’s Mother?

I’m so excited to introduce our next Postpartum Power Hour speaker and trust me, you’re going to feel this one.

Dr. Hailey B. Smith, PhD, MS, LPC, PMH‑C
Licensed Professional Counselor
Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist
Founder of Beyond the Concrete Counseling

Dr. Hailey has over six years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through the perinatal journey. She specializes in perinatal mental health, parenting transitions, trauma recovery, and relationship challenges. She’s a powerful advocate for equitable, compassionate care for mothers.

Her work is deeply shaped by her own second‑trimester pregnancy loss due to a fetal anomaly, which fuels her passion for helping parents feel supported during one of life’s most vulnerable seasons.

This month she’s speaking on a topic every mother feels in her bones:

💛 “Who Am I Now That I’m Somebody’s Mother?”

I received a call yesterday from a mama who needed bottles, and she’ll be stopping by today’s Postpartum Power Hour.

Thanks to this community, our donation table is overflowing with support — pumps (electric + handheld), baby clothes, diapers, and so much more.

If you know a mom or family in need, please share this. Postpartum Power Hour is more than women gathering… we are the village, and I’m here to help in any way 💛

Check out a snippet of Postpartum Power Hour last month 🌻

The beauty of Postpartum Power Hour starts long before the first mama walks through the door.

There’s a sacred stillness in arriving early.. that quiet moment when the room is yours, the lights are soft, and you can feel the intention settling in. It’s the pause before the pouring. The breath before the blessing. The calm before the community gathers.

In that stillness, you prepare the space with love: arranging the essentials, setting out the snacks, making sure every detail whispers you’re welcome here. It’s a moment that reminds you why you do this because motherhood deserves gentleness, connection, and a place where women can exhale.

You watch strangers become sisters. You watch shoulders drop. You watch hearts open.

Postpartum Power Hour is more than an event. It’s a rhythm. A refuge. A reminder that motherhood was never meant to be done alone.

Our next one is 8/11, see you in the Village 🌻

Have a great week!
The school year is starting soon! 📚🍎

Now is the perfect time to make sure your child has the right support plan in place.

**504 Plan vs. IEP—What's the difference?**

✅ **504 Plan:** Provides accommodations to help a student access the general education curriculum (such as extended time, preferential seating, or classroom supports).

✅ **IEP (Individualized Education Program):** Provides specialized instruction, individualized goals, accommodations, and related services for students who qualify under special education.

The right plan depends on your child's individual needs—not every child who needs support requires the same type of plan.

If you're unsure whether your child needs a 504 Plan or an IEP, don't wait until school is in full swing. Ask questions, review existing plans, and advocate early.

Every child deserves the support they need to be successful from Day 1.

I’m honored to share that Divinity Doula is officially partnering with Dr. Morelisa Sabb-Cordes LLC IEP and 504 Advocate, Coach, and Speaker

All families receiving nanny placement services will now have access to IEP support as part of their care.

This partnership is more than an added service, it’s an extension of our mission.

Divinity Doula is a neurodivergent‑friendly agency, built with families in mind who need care that is flexible, sensory‑aware, patient, and deeply understanding of how different brains move through the world. We know what it feels like to juggle routines, overwhelm, executive functioning challenges, and I can only imagine the emotional weight of advocating for your child. We see you, because many of us are you.

That’s why this connection with Dr. Morelisa is so impactful.

She brings over 20 years of experience as a certified educator and administrator, along with a rare behind‑the‑scenes understanding of how schools operate. She knows the red tape, the barriers, and the moments where parents feel unheard or unsure. And she’s passionate about changing that.

Her work empowers parents to stop second‑guessing themselves in IEP meetings and instead show up informed, confident, and ready to advocate for their child. She understands how overwhelming it can feel at the table and she’s committed to making sure families never face that alone.

Together, we’re creating a
𝑭𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒖𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆:
Support at home.
Support in school.
Support for the whole child.
Support for the whole family.

This partnership reflects what Divinity Doula stands for. Care that honors neurodivergence, uplifts parents, and makes sure every child has what they need to thrive.

Huge Thanks to Sabrina Bonaparte for connecting us ✨
& Thanks to of the upstate for connecting me with Sabrina 💕

We are truly better together 🦋✨
