One Mission Society

Pray for all of the activities happening at the OMS World HQ this week. We host meetings for Missionary Council (all the global and field leaders), the OMS Global Board, and the OMS USA Board ... all just days before our 125th celebration. It'll be very exciting ... and very busy.

Missionary Council (our worldwide global leaders) began weeklong meetings yesterday. Pray as they make strategic decisions, share encouraging reports, and pray, worship, and fellowship together.

Students from Asbury University's School of Education left last Thursday for their third English camp in Hungary. They're partnering with our OMS Hungary team to serve more than 90 campers! Pray that their experience is fruitful for them individually and for the campers they work with. OMS missionary and Asbury Student Center director, David Schnake, joined them on this adventure.

Four days until reunion.
Four days until inspiration.
Four days until commemoration.
Four days until celebration.

OMS' 12th and current President is Jeff Edwards. Before his presidency, Jeff and his wife, Laura, served as missionaries in Brazil for many years, and then Jeff became the regional director for the Latin America/Caribbean region. He then served as the executive director of Global Ministries before assuming the presidency. Under Jeff's leadership, OMS launched the 125 by 125 initiative to recruit 125 new missionaries by our 125th anniversary. We have reached 93, with 16 more in the pipeline.
