What Do You Want To Do When Your Kids Grow Up?
06/25/2026
Sometimes the clutter isn't just on your desk… it's in your head. ❤️
I finally tackled something I'd been putting off for far too long... my office.
I opened every cabinet, climbed the ladder, sorted through boxes I hadn't touched in years, found things I'd forgotten I even had, and let go of what no longer serves this season of my life.
Funny how organizing a workspace can become a life lesson.
As women, especially after years of raising families, building careers, and taking care of everyone else, we carry so much. Memories. Projects. Dreams. "Someday" ideas.
Every now and then, we need to make room.
Not because our past isn't valuable...
But because our next chapter deserves space too.
My office feels lighter.
And honestly... so do I.
What have you been meaning to organize, simplify, or let go of?
Maybe this is your sign that it's time. 🥰
Follow Sharon M if you're creating space for what comes next. Your next chapter might begin with something as simple as clearing a shelf... or clearing your mind. ✨
Some days, the best therapy looks a lot like trying a new recipe. 🤍
Today I made Caitlin Jesson's cinnamon date cake, and let's just say... it absolutely lived up to the hype. 😍
There's something so special about slowing down, getting in the kitchen, and creating something with your own hands. It's not about making everything perfectly. It's about finding joy in the little moments that make this chapter of life so rich.
And yes... it was so good. 🍰✨
Have you made Caitlin Jesson's cinnamon date cake yet? Or what's one recipe you've tried recently that you'd recommend? Share it in the comments!

Are the kids all leaving home soon? 🥹
If you're getting ready to become an empty nester this fall, this is your reminder:
Your home may feel quieter... but your life doesn't have to become smaller.
For years, your schedule revolved around school drop-offs, practices, homework, college visits, and making sure everyone else had what they needed. It's natural to wonder, "Who am I when they don't need me in the same way anymore?"
The truth is, this isn't the end of your purpose. It's an invitation to rediscover it.
This next chapter can be filled with things you've been putting off for years:
✨ Traveling somewhere you've always wanted to go
✨ Starting the business or passion project you've been dreaming about
✨ Prioritizing your health and well-being
✨ Strengthening friendships and your marriage
✨ Becoming the woman you've been too busy to become
You will always be their mom. But now, you also get to be you again.
The nest may be empty... but your life is far from it. ❤️
If you're preparing for an empty nest this fall, tell me below: What are you most excited about—or most nervous about? Let's encourage each other through this transition.
Follow Sharon M for honest conversations and encouragement as we embrace life's next chapter together. ❤️

For so many years, motherhood asks us to pour ourselves into raising, guiding, encouraging, and loving our children. ❤️
And what a privilege that is.
But somewhere along the way, many of us begin to believe that when they need us less, we matter less.
I’ve been there.
But now, I don't believe that's true and here’s why:
I know that motherhood prepares us for what's next.
The patience we developed.
The resilience we earned.
The leadership we practiced every single day.
The courage we found when we didn't think we had any left.
None of that disappears when our children grow up. It becomes the foundation for the next chapter.
Your purpose doesn't end when your children become more independent.
It evolves.
Maybe this is the season to finally write the book, launch the business, volunteer, travel, mentor, learn something new, or simply rediscover the woman you've always been beneath the title of "Mom."
Motherhood wasn't the destination.
It was the training ground for becoming even more.
Send this to a mom who needs the reminder that her story is far from over. ✨

Nobody prepares you for this version of the empty nest. 😂
One day you’re breaking up arguments over who gets the front seat…
…and the next, you find out your adult kids have a sibling group chat where you’re the topic of conversation. 🤣
Literally my kids have a group chat among the 3 of them that they call “Straight Outta Sharon” 😂
Somewhere along the way, they started quoting the things I used to say, laughing about “classic Mom moments,” and reminding each other of advice I don’t even remember giving.
And honestly? I kind of love it.
Motherhood doesn’t end when they move out. It simply changes. You go from managing their schedules to becoming part of their stories. ❤️
If you’re an empty nest mom, tell me… what’s something your adult kids always tease you about? 😂👇

So many women think they’re the only ones feeling lost.
The only one wondering what’s next.
The only one embarrassed they haven’t figured it all out.
The only one searching for purpose after years of pouring into everyone else.
But here’s what Meghan and Kristin share in this episode:
The moment you begin talking to other women, everything changes.
Community reminds you that you’re not behind.
Conversation creates confidence.
And when you finally put yourself out there, it’s amazing what can happen.
The friendships you’ll build.
The stories you’ll hear.
The encouragement you’ll receive.
The doors that begin to open.
You were never meant to navigate your next chapter alone.
If you’re in a season of transition, let this be your reminder to reach out, stay open, and trust that your people are out there waiting to meet you.

Have you ever looked around and wondered:
What happens after the kids need me less?
Who am I beyond being Mom?
Is it too late to start something new?
In this episode of Mom To More®, I sit down with Meghan Caponiti and Kristin Price Hocker, co-hosts of the Finding Fabulous podcast, for an honest conversation about navigating midlife's biggest transitions.
From empty nests and aging parents to health challenges and career pivots, both women found themselves standing at a crossroads, asking the same question so many of us ask:
"What's next for me?"
Together, we talk about:
✨ The fear of starting over
✨ Why motherhood gives us more transferable skills than we realize
✨ Finding purpose after a season of caregiving
✨ Building confidence when you feel left behind
✨ Why midlife isn't an ending—it's an invitation
One of the biggest reminders from this conversation?
You are not behind.
You are not too late.
And your next chapter may be closer than you think.
If you're navigating a season of reinvention, this episode will feel like a conversation with friends who truly get it.
