When life feels rushed, distracted, or uncertain, our instinct is often to do more.

Psalm 8 reminds us of a different way.

The rhythms we practice each day shape the people we become. Prayer, Scripture, worship, rest—these aren't just items on a spiritual checklist. They are means of grace that orient our hearts toward God.

As we turn our attention toward Him, we're reminded of something important: our identity is not rooted in our accomplishments, failures, or circumstances. It is rooted in the truth that we have been created in the image of God.

And because we have received God's grace, we have also been entrusted with a responsibility—to extend that same grace to others. The hope we have in Christ was never meant to stop with us.

That's why worship is so much more than singing on a Sunday morning. Worship is the defining rhythm of a life rooted in hope, shaping how we see God, ourselves, and the people around us.

Reflection:
What rhythm in your life is helping you stay rooted in God's grace—and how might God be inviting you to extend that grace to someone else this week?

Last week, our HopePointe Students joined teens and youth leaders from across South Carolina for an incredible week at Youth Camp.

There was plenty of fun, laughter, and memories made along the way, but what stands out most is the opportunity our students had to reconnect with old friends, make new friends, and gather with the larger South Carolina NYI family.

Throughout the week, students experienced powerful times of worship and created space for God to speak into their lives. Camp has a unique way of helping students step away from the noise of everyday life and become more attentive to God's voice.

We're grateful for Pastor Andy, our adult leaders, and everyone who invested in our students throughout the week. Most of all, we're thankful for the ways God continues to work in the lives of the next generation.

Take a look through some of our favorite moments from the week and join us in thanking God for an amazing Youth Camp 2026!

Come Tell the Story.

Every week, we gather to proclaim, remember, and participate in the greatest story ever told—the gospel story.

The story of a God who creates, redeems, restores, and invites us into His life through Jesus Christ.

This Sunday, we'd love for you to join us at HopePointe Church as we continue our Summer Psalms series and worship together. Through singing, prayer, Scripture, and community, we come together to tell the story of God's faithfulness and be reminded that our stories find their place within His.

Whether you're exploring faith, looking for a church home, or simply searching for hope, there's a place for you here.

Join us Sunday at 10:30am.

Come tell the story.

Sunday is coming!

This week, we'll continue our Summer Psalms series as we journey through one of Scripture's most beloved books together. We're excited to welcome Pastor Ben Kaney as he brings the message from Psalm 8.

Psalm 8 invites us to lift our eyes to the greatness of God, to stand in awe of His creation, and to be reminded of the incredible value and purpose He has given to each of us.

Throughout the summer, we'll also have the opportunity to hear from several guest preachers who will help us explore the richness, beauty, and honesty of the Psalms. Be sure to check out the schedule graphic to see what's coming in the weeks ahead.

Whether you've been walking with Christ for years or are simply looking for a place to worship and grow, we'd love for you to join us this Sunday.

One of our core values at HopePointe is Compassion—joining God in His work of loving and caring for others.

This week, members of The Middle Small Group put that value into practice in a simple but meaningful way. Instead of their regular gathering, they spent the evening prayer walking through their neighborhood, delivering homemade cookies and praying over the homes and families around them.

What makes this story even more special is that the children weren't just along for the walk—they were part of the ministry.

As they listened to adults pray for neighbors they had never met, something incredible happened. By the end of the evening, the kids were leading prayers of their own. One young prayer simply thanked God for the church, for friends, and "for dying on the cross for even our neighbors."

Compassion often starts with something small: a prayer, a conversation, a plate of cookies, or a willingness to see people the way Jesus sees them. And when we make room for the next generation to participate, they begin to learn that following Jesus means caring deeply for others.

We're thankful for small groups like The Middle that remind us that God's love isn't meant to stay within the walls of the church. It's meant to be carried into our neighborhoods, one act of compassion at a time.

This week, several of our HopePointe students are joining teens and youth leaders from across South Carolina for an incredible week at Youth Camp!

Camp has a unique way of creating space for students to step away from the distractions of everyday life, build meaningful friendships, and encounter God in powerful ways. Many people can point to moments at camp that shaped their faith and impacted the direction of their lives for years to come.

As our students spend this week worshiping, learning, serving, and growing together, we invite our church family to be praying for them—and for Pastor Andy as he invests in and leads our students throughout the week.

Pray that hearts would be open to what God wants to do. Pray for safety, meaningful relationships, and life-changing encounters with Christ. And pray that our students would return home encouraged, challenged, and growing deeper in their faith.

Let's surround them with prayer this week!

"A life rooted in hope is not a life that avoids darkness; it is a life that discovers God is already present there."

Psalm 139 reminds us that there is no place we can go where God is not already there. Not the mountaintops. Not the valleys. Not even the darkest moments of our lives.

Hope isn't found in pretending the darkness doesn't exist. Hope is found in knowing that God's presence is greater than our circumstances.

And the good news of the gospel is even greater: God doesn't just meet us in the darkness—He brings His light into it.

Where have you experienced God's presence in a difficult season?

As you go through this week, take a moment to remember: the darkness is never too dark for God, and no situation is beyond His redeeming light.

What an incredible week at Rainforest Falls VBS!

From energetic worship and exciting games to meaningful Bible lessons and new friendships, we saw God at work in the lives of so many children throughout the week. Thank you to every volunteer, leader, parent, and participant who helped make this year's VBS such a special experience.

One of our favorite things about VBS is seeing the joy, wonder, and excitement on the faces of our kids—and thankfully, our talented in-house photographer, Christina Alsip, captured those moments all week long!

We'd also love to see VBS through your eyes! If you took photos throughout the week, share your favorite memories in the comments below so we can celebrate together.

Thank you for helping make Rainforest Falls a week our kids won't soon forget. 🌿💦
