Stop Weeds Before They Start!
Early spring w**ds can sneak up fast—but using pre-emergents in your lawn and planting beds helps prevent them from ever taking hold.
Applying pre-emergent at the right time creates a barrier in the soil that stops w**d seeds from germinating, saving you time, effort, and frustration later in the season.
A little prevention now keeps your landscape looking clean and healthy all year long!
Need help or guidance on how or when to apply pre-emergent? Reach out to us today and we can get you on the right track!

Pruning Tip for Flowering Shrubs
It’s time to prune your summer-flowering shrubs, but be careful with spring bloomers! Plants like forsythia, quince, and early spring spiraea formed their flower buds last fall—pruning them now means losing those beautiful blooms. Wait to prune those until after they finish flowering.
When pruning, focus on:
- Removing dead, decayed, or broken branches first
- Shaping the plant naturally
- Opening the center for better air circulation and sunlight
Thoughtful pruning keeps your shrubs healthy, vibrant, and blooming beautifully.
Need help knowing what to prune (and when)? We’re here for you!

Don’t Forget Your Feathered Friends!
Continue feeding the birds around your home — they’re more than just a joy to watch! As the weather warms, our feathered friends help naturally control insects in your landscape.
By keeping feeders full now, you’re encouraging birds to stick around and support a healthier garden later. It’s a win-win for your yard and nature!

Pruning Season Tip
Now is a great time to prune summer-flowering shrubs — but be careful with spring bloomers!
Important to know:
Many early spring-flowering shrubs set their buds last fall. Pruning them now will mean fewer (or no!) blooms this season.
Wait to prune these until after they finish flowering:
• Forsythia
• Quince
• Spiraea
• Other early spring bloomers
When pruning, focus on:
- Improving the overall shape
- Opening the center for better air circulation & sunlight
- Removing dead, decayed, or broken branches first
Not sure what should be pruned now vs. later? Our team is always happy to help guide you through seasonal plant care!

Now is a great time to clean up the canopy of your crape myrtles by selectively removing any undesired minor limbs. Light, thoughtful pruning helps improve structure, airflow, and overall health.
Avoid “crape murder.” Severe pruning causes long-term damage, weak growth, and fewer blooms. Proper pruning keeps your trees strong and beautiful for years to come.
If you’re unsure what to remove, our team is happy to help!

Houseplant Health Check!
Take a few minutes to inspect your plants for pests—especially on the tops and undersides of leaves, where insects like to hide. If you spot any unwanted guests, treat them with insecticidal soap right away.
To keep plants thriving:
• Clean dust and debris from foliage
• Water regularly (but don’t overdo it!)
• Fertilize as needed
• Repot plants if they’ve outgrown their containers
A little attention now goes a long way toward healthy, happy plants all year long!
