With heavy hearts, we honor the life and legacy of Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr., born in Greenville, South Carolina, and a proud Sterling High School alumnus.

From Sterling High to the national stage, he carried the spirit of our community with him, courage, conviction, and an unshakable belief that every person deserves dignity. He spent decades fighting for civil rights, voting rights, and economic justice, and he pushed the country to live closer to the values it claims.

Today, we extend our deepest condolences to the Jackson family and to everyone grieving this loss.

Rest in power, Rev. Jackson. Thank you for the sacrifice, the leadership, and the hope you left in the world.

Our scope spanned the pool amenity area, front entry plaza, and spaces between buildings, including pergolas, grilling areas, fire pits, concrete, pavers, turf, and site furnishings.

Clearing the way for KADIA's new U.S. headquarters!

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded over $77 million in grants for expansion and improvements to state Veterans cemeteries nationwide — including nearly $1 million for the expansion of the M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson County.

This expansion will include the addition of new columbaria, ensuring Veterans and their families have a dignified, lasting place of honor.

SDD is proud to serve as the general contractor on this project, working alongside the federal government. Not every contractor can do this work — it takes proven experience, rigorous vetting, and a commitment to excellence. That’s exactly what Sexton delivers.
