While South Carolinians were casting their ballots on Tuesday, I was in Washington casting mine.

The House passed the Secure America Act by a single vote, delivering critical funding for ICE and Border Patrol.

The people of the Fourth District sent me to Congress to show up and do the job. That’s exactly what I did.

It was great to catch up with my friend CJ Pearson at TikTok’s IRL: “Inside the Creator Economy” event last night.

It was interesting hearing from creators and entrepreneurs about the opportunities digital platforms are creating. Whether it’s starting a business, building a brand, or reaching new customers, the creator economy is becoming an increasingly important part of our economy.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with Dean MacGilvray and Dr. Jennifer Trilk at the USC School of Medicine Greenville.

It was great to learn more about the school’s approach to training future physicians. By emphasizing nutrition, physical activity, quality sleep, and other healthy lifestyle choices, they are helping prepare doctors to address the root causes of chronic disease and improve long-term health outcomes.

I had a great time visiting my friends at Tindall Infrastructure. With more than 500 team members across the region and over 180 employees at this facility alone, Tindall has been a cornerstone of the Spartanburg community since 1963. It is always great to see companies right here in the Upstate continuing to invest in our communities and create good-paying jobs for South Carolinians.

The House just passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, a big win for working families!

It cuts red tape, boosts new housing, stops Wall Street from buying up single-family homes, and protects Americans’ financial privacy.

The Senate should act quickly to get this legislation to President Trump’s desk!
