Mother's Day can be a delightful experience for so many, but for others, it is a stark reminder of the loss they have endured.
Remind yourself to be mindful of those who have lost a child, experienced a miscarriage, or struggled with infertility. David Kessler provides a beautiful platform for those in all types of grief. This link will lead you to a registration page for his mother's day event.
I hope you will reach out if you need this support. He brings so much experience and, unfortunately, a significant loss of his own that first brought him into this grief space.
www.davidkesslertraining.com This time of year can be such a challenge. My inbox and social media feed is already full of Mother's Day messaging. It can be overwhelming to so many of us who are grieving the death of a mother or are in grief after a child has died.

Are you feeling increased anxiousness and an extra urgency for the need to be in control? Needing control may come from many reasons that could include safety, past truamas, or managing overwhelm.
When you can not control the situation, your anxiety, fear, and panic grows. One tip to manage your emotions is to ask yourself this one question, "What can I control in this situation?" It may be only your breath or a small piece of the issue.
Recognize what is in your control and stop trying to hold the things that are not in your control. By identifying one thing you can control, even if it is only breathing, you can lower your blood pressure and heart rate which lowers anxiousness. This may be the the one small thing to keep you engaged to take the next step.
Small steps!
