At the Greene County Junior Rodeo, every kid can participate—no matter how big or small! And while the little ones are making memories, Dad gets a little bonus… free cardio included!

Join us for an evening of family fun at the Greene County Covered Arena, located at 1180 Weldon Smith Road in Greensboro!

🗓 Saturday, June 27th
⏰ Rodeo starts at 6:00 PM
📝 Event sign-ups begin at 5:00 PM
🍔 Concessions will be available

🎟 Gate Admission:
• Adults & youth ages 13 and older: $3
• Kids ages 5–12: $2
• Ages 4 and under: FREE

Come experience the excitement as these young cowboys and cowgirls compete in:

⭐ Barrel Racing
⭐ Pole Bending
⭐ Arena Race
⭐ Texas Barrels

These speed events are divided into three age groups:
• 5–9 years
• 10–13 years
• 14–18 years

Additional events include:

⭐ Walk-Trot (ages 5–9 and 10–13)
⭐ Western Pleasure (ages 14–18)
⭐ Pants on the Goat Race (ages 5–18) – a crowd favorite where one child rides while their partner tries to put pants on a goat!

Entry fees for horse events are $5 per class.

🥇 Ages 5–9 and 10–13 compete for ribbons (1st–5th place), with one contestant from these divisions earning the coveted High Point Trophy.

💰 Ages 14–18 compete for prize money.

🥇 Pants on the Goat awards ribbons only.

For our roughstock competitors:

⭐ Sheep Riding – ages 6 and under
⭐ Steer Riding – age groups 7–12 and 13–16

Entry fee is $5 per contestant.

💰 Steer Riding pays back prize money.
🥇 Sheep Riding awards ribbons 1st–5th.

FREE events (no sign-up required and no horse needed):

⭐ Stick Horse Race – ages 5 and under
⭐ Boot Race – ages 6–10

🥇 All participants receive ribbons.

These youth rodeos do more than create great competitors—they help shape great kids. Through caring for their animals, working toward their goals, and cheering on their fellow contestants, they learn responsibility, confidence, sportsmanship, and the value of hard work. Most importantly, they build friendships and memories rooted in a shared love of rodeo, family, and community.

Bring the whole family and come cheer these kids on! They love hearing the crowd clap from the stands, and there’s nothing better than watching the smiles on their faces after a run, ride, or ribbon. We hope you’ll join us for a fun-filled night celebrating the next generation of cowboys and cowgirls!
