The last Friday of the month has become a favorite for a reason. 🍽️

Each month, Brumley's Catering by Angeez takes over the restaurant for a lunchtime gathering built around great food and good company, and June's menu is filled with comforting classics. Baked spaghetti, creamy chicken penne, pineapple bake, garlic bread, and garlic parm broccoli and cauliflower headline a meal that's equal parts familiar and satisfying.

Finish with chocolate cake or lemon blueberry trifle and enjoy a midday tradition that's worth marking on the calendar.

Join us Friday, June 26, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. To-go containers will be available for those on the move. ✨

Landscapes, Light, and Stories of the Land 🎨

This month, the Mason House Gallery is proud to showcase the work of Ronnie Luttrell, a Greene County native whose paintings celebrate the beauty of Western landscapes, horses, cattle, and the rural scenes that have inspired him throughout his life.

Working in oils and acrylics, Ronnie's collection blends timeless artistic influence with a deep connection to the world around him, creating pieces that are both striking and heartfelt.

The exhibit will remain on display throughout June at the General Morgan Inn.

"Greeneville has been long in need of hotel accommodations of this character."

Those words appeared in the Bristol Herald Courier on June 9, 1922, as excitement spread over the opening of the New Hotel Brumley.

At a time when railroads carried passengers across the country and automobiles were opening new roads to adventure, the hotel represented something bigger than bricks and mortar. It was a sign of a growing community, a place designed to welcome travelers with the modern comforts of the day, and a statement that Greeneville was looking toward the future.

More than 100 years later, the building still stands, its doors still open, and its purpose unchanged.

Generations of guests have passed through its halls since that summer of 1922, each becoming part of a story that continues to unfold in the heart of downtown Greeneville.

Some landmarks preserve history. Others continue making it.
